My Promise to You, Newark!
1. First, safer neighborhoods. With my background in law enforcement and community advocacy, I will work to strengthen the partnership between residents, community organizations, and public safety to keep our neighborhoods safe.
2. Second, stronger families. I will continue advocating for programs that protect victims of domestic violence, support working families, and provide the resources our communities need to succeed.
3. Third, youth opportunities. We must invest in mentorship, education, recreation, and career opportunities that keep our youth engaged, inspired, and on the path to success.
4. Lastly, equitable resources. Every neighborhood in Newark deserves fair access to city services, clean streets, safe parks, and economic opportunities. As your Councilwoman At-Large, I will fight to ensure every ward is heard and respected.
About Maria E. Lebron
Maria E. Lebrón retired Newark Police Sergeant, community advocate, and South Ward home owner, small business owner who has dedicated over 30 years to serving the people of Newark.
A proud wife, mother of three, and grandmother of eight, Maria has spent her career protecting families, supporting victims of domestic violence, and building trust between law enforcement and the community. She has organized food drives, supported youth programs, and helped families in need throughout the city.
Maria is running for Councilwoman-At-Large to bring proven leadership, fight for safer neighborhoods, strengthen families, and ensure every ward in Newark receives the resources it deserves.
